Have any of you seen this flick? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Yes, it has Jeff Bridges in it, but it was pretty messed up. I'm not sure I really understood the point of it all.
I thought it was interesting that Terry Gilliam, the director, had to give a disclaimer at the beginning. Was that his idea or the production company's? I've really liked some of his other work, Monty Python being one of them, but just couldn't get into this one. A co-worker recommended it to me. He said Bridges was once again very Dude-like. I totally disagree, but can see where the misconception can be made. Bridges is a bit of a drug-addict hippy. He's into music - even plays in a band. That's about where it ends....on the surface. This character does hard drugs, not just pot. This character also overdoses and leaves his young daughter to fend for herself out in the middle of nowhere. This character is a bafoon and makes an ass of himself in public. This character is not Dude-like. I don't think I can really recommend this.
