If you weren't able to make it to the Dallas Angelika for the Q & A session with Jeff Bridges for his new movie The Amateurs and its American relase, don't worry. I've made a new friend, Dan, that goes by the moniker of Walter LaFester.
You may recognize him from the festival forums or the fact that he's won Best Walter at every festival he's gone to. This guy seriously looks and sounds like John Goodman. So much that The Dude himself called Dan, "Walter," at the session after the screening. Dan was also gracious enough to send us a 30min audio file of the Q & A that we'll be posting next week. If you like reading articles, Dan sent us this one about William Fichtner. Apparently he consideres this his best role so far. I really liked his performance in Equilibrium, among others, so this must mean The Amateurs is something to write home about. We're also recording our long-awaited Dudeism episode tomorrow and will hopefully have this posted Tuesday night or Wednesday morning/afternoon. There's also another screening for The Amateurs coming up in Seattle on the 14th.
