I work for an organization at my school called the Integration of Faith and Culture. My school is a interdenominational evangelical Christian university that tries to continually integrate faith with learning. My organization is the opposite, it tries to integrate culture and the things that are happening in the world into our faith. I normally work with bands, booking, hosting, enjoying, but our organization also shows movies. The other day we showed No Country for Old Men. I talked afterwards sort of in the way we do with the podcast. I pretty much dove into the characters and an interpretation of what I felt the Coen brothers were doing with the plot, so on so forth. Then I opened up the floor for discussion. It went really well and I was glad to see that our fairly conservative community was able to interpret great things within the film and look past the gunfire and violence.
