Liz and I just got back from seeing Burn After Reading. It's definitely full of Coenisms. In a sense it almost seemed like the culmination of their other films, but not really at the same time. There are a lot of similarities with characters, lines, and themes. One thing you've probably read elsewhere is just over 10 years ago Fargo came out, which won them an Oscar, and was followed by The Big Lebowski. Last year No Country for Old Men came out, which won them an Oscar, and now Burn After Reading came out. One thing I really appreciated is that the title wasn't spoken in the film. I get tired when it's forced so often these days.
This is definitely a must-see for any Coen fan. I'd love to go into details and start hashing this thing out, but we're going to save that for a podcast episode.
