Tonight Liz and I are going to be checking out a local bowling alley.  They have $1 games and shoe rentals after 9pm Sun-Thurs.  If all goes well, we might have found a new, weekly hangout for ourselves.  We'll keep you posted.

Update....

So we just got back from Dover Bowl in Dover, NH.  The place has 20 real lanes and 10 candlestick lanes.  When we got there it was about half full (only in the real lanes) and kinda quiet.  Things looked pretty good.

Then we realized there was no seating area with your lane.  There were two chairs setup for each lane.  There was also nowhere to change your shoes so there was water and salt/sand (from the parking lot) on the lanes.  We were rolling next to a group of college girls that obviously weren't golfers.  They also had random songs coming on and it was so loud you could hardly talk to anyone.  It was really screwing with my game.  I was starting to get a bit uptight, then had to tell myself I was being very un-Dude.  I think I ended up taking the high score both games, but it was pretty pathetic.  We'd like to go back on a weeknight and see if it's less crowded and quieter.  Maybe we'll have a chance to go again this week.  We'll report back when we do.
