In college I went through this techno phase where I'd listen to trance, techno and bands like Rammstein during my 12hr coding sessions.  I was studying to be a programmer and, like many of my fellow geeks, was a bit of a procrastinator.  So I would end up waiting til I was inspired, or the dealdine was quickly approaching, and would do these all night/all day coding benders.  One band/group I started enjoying was Daft Punk, mostly because of their music videos directed by the amazing Michel Gondry (Science of Sleep, Be Kind Rewind, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

Anyways, as a tidbit for all you Jeff Bridges fans and lovers of Tron, you might be interested to know that Daft Punk will be doing the score for Tron 2.  I'm kind of imagining other films where a strong soundtrack has really complimented the film like Blink 182 and American Pie, Aimee Mann and Magnolia, Eddie Vedder and Into the Wild or Muse with 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later.  In fact, Muse didn't even do all the music on those last two, I just associate Muse with them.  Much in the same way that I always think of CCR with The Big Lebowski even though there are only two CCR songs in the whole movie.
