Roshi Bernie isn't that closely tied to The Big Lebowski, except for the fact he's sort of a Buddhist master of the West and is good friends with Jeff Bridges.  Have you seen the blog they started together?  Just tried to go there to grab the link, but got an error.  Maybe the site's not up anymore.  Anyways, this guy is really respected.  They had a big shindig in NYC and Bridges flew in to play at the event.  Bridges is a bit of a musician and brought along his buddy John Goodwin (not Goodman).

Lebowski Party Sunday March 29th at Belly Up Aspen.  The title on this news article they posted says they're having a "Lebowski Fest."  Now a couple years ago I wouldn't have batted an eye about this, and I sometimes rolled my eyes when seeing Dragon (Lebowski Fest Forum member) get all worked up about syntax.  Now that I'm obviously older and wiser, I can see what Dragon was getting at.  Lebowski Fests are run by Will Russell and Scott Shuffitt.  If you're having a Lebowski Event call it a party, a bash, a movie night, etc.  Especially now that Will and Scott are trying to branch out and hit 16 cities this year, I think it's even more important that good intentioned people don't steal their name.  I wouldn't appreciate somebody else starting up a Lebowski Podcast.   Amateurs...
