We all know The Dude favored whales.  With his activist past, I'd think this has to do with the save-the-whales movement.  There has been much speculation on other types animals that exhibit Dude-like behavior with the orangutan leading the pack for many.  Today I submit the dolphin as being very Dude-like.  (Video embedded below)
