If you saw The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford and thought it stylistically looked familar, it could have been because Roger Deakins was the cinematographer.  Deakins has worked closely with the Coen Brothers on many films.  I think he has participated on nine out of thirteen of the Coen Brothers' films.

Director Jack Goldberg has a new film out at the Tribeca Film Festival called Don McKay.  It's a dark comedy that was influenced by the Coen Brothers.  I say it's about time.  They've been around enough and have stood the test of time.  I bet we'll see a lot more filmmakers trying to be like the Coens in the future.  There are three interview videos and some pictures.  I've included the interview with Goldberg below.
