It's sad news when you find out one of the most amazing actors to grace the martial arts silver screen is gone. Goodnight sweet prince...
Ethan Coen assumes office of American work-ethic satirist? I don't know if I would have ever come up with that one on my own. I think the first film that would come to mind is Office Space by Mike Judge. If you check out the article it talks about how even though the Coens don't necessarily have a lot of office-experience, they seem to feature them in many of their films. I'm feeling like this is kind of a stretch. An office is a pretty common occurance when dealing with anything business-related. Any thoughts?
I'm sure many of you saw this image floating around the day President Obama was inaugurated. He looks just like Potter from It's a Wonderful Life or the more obvious choice of Jeffrey Lebowski from The Big Lebowski. In the following article is an interview with Cheney in where he talks about he would have let GM fail if he was still in the White House. What do you guys think about that? In my simple opinion of the economy, it seems if we brag about our system of capitalism, yet we don't necessarily practice it. It's seem to be a common conclusion that American cars have not bee keeping up with foreign quality standards. Shouldn't they have to improve their product or fail? I'm sure there will be some arguments based on unions screwing things up. Either way, I'm just glad more bail-out money isn't being pumped into that bottomless pit.
