I know this isn't exactly fresh news, but remaking a Coen film?  That just seems kind of weird.  Chinese director Zhang Yimou is supposed to be working on a remake of Blood Simple, the Coen Brothers' first film.  I think it'll be interesting to see, especially because it's not an American director.  The cultural and style differences should make it interesting.

While we're on the subject of Blood Simple, did you know Francis McDormand almost missed out on being in that film?  Kind of makes you wonder if she would have ever met Joel if she had missed out on that role.
