If you didn't know, a documentary was made about John Hughes.  Its creators were working on final edits and distribution right around the time that the iconic filmmaker died. I don't think anyone would argue on the significance Hughes had on American teen film. Even if the situations weren't 100% plausible, you can't deny the interactions and emotions being right on.  The documentary takes a look at how Hughes' films affected the lives of those in the 80s/90s and even the youth of today.
