So here's one that may or may not seem like a big deal in the movie world....Scott Cooper hasn't seen The Big Lebowski.  Who's Scott Cooper you ask?  Well he happens to be the director of Crazy Heart, that new movie that is garnering Jeff Bridges awards and nominations for awards.

Does this matter?  I'm sure many of you out there have standards for things.  Even standards for stuff you don't even do.  For example, I assume a police officer has been trained on how to be a cop and has studied the many ins and outs of the local, state and federal laws.  I assume professors have the appropriate academic degrees to prove they are truly experts in their fields.  Along the same lines, I would assume a filmmaker has seen all those necessary films to make them a connoisseur of the silver screen.  Is The Big Lebowski on that list?  Should it be?

In Cooper's defence, he says he has seen every other Coen film.  He didn't catch Lebowski on the big screen and isn't a fan of DVD.  I can sort of see that, but come on man.  Buy a bigger TV or something.  You know there has to be many more films he hasn't seen.  How does he see foreign films?
