Have you ever taken a close look at the shoes The Dude is wearing while doing some tai chi in his bungalow?  I haven't.  I just figured they were Addidas or some kind of soccer shoes.  Turns out they are shoes designed for martial arts.

Oliver Benjamin of Dudeism and Dudespaper recently sent me a link to these shoes.  He realized these shoes are made to be worn when doing Tai Chi.  The Dude was doing Tai Chi on his rug while wearing them.  Coincidence?  I think not.  Yet another example of something amazingly specific and there for a reason in a Coen Brothers film.  They never cease to amaze me.
