If you haven't seen the Coen Brothers' adaptation of Charles Portis' novel True Grit you need to get on that.  Treat it as your homework.  Ellen Chenowith did a great job on casting Hailee Steinfeld as Mattie Ross.  She was basically a "nobody."  One of those actors/actresses you don't recognize from anything.  Liz just sent me this clip of Steinfeld in a K Mart commercial.  She's the one wearing jeans and the blue shirt with hearts on it.  All I could say was, "gross."  I am not a fan of bedazzling.  Glad to see her career took a turn for the better.
