All Achievers (fans of The Big Lebowski) have an opinion about the "popular" musical group known as The Eagles.  Some achievers like them and others hate them.  Every Lebowski fan you talk to will have an opinion either way.  I'm kind of against the Eagles personally, but my buddy B-Styx just gave another reason.

Don Henley wants China to run the United States of America's internet

Ok, so neither the article nor Don Henley actually says this.  Let's look at the facts.

• Don Henley is in full support of the Protect IP Act
• Don Henley supports people wanting to censor content, block IP addresses, remove access to certain web sites, etc
• Don Henley thinks Google and the Electric Frontier Foundation (EFF) are aiding and abetting criminals
• Even Brad Templeton, Don's former band mate, told him to just take it easy

This is nothing short of ridiculous and I now understand fully what the Coens had in mind when The Dude's arch nemesis, The Jesus, was introduced with a song made popular by The Eagles.  I also know why after The Dude had one of the worst days in his life, having to listen to a song by The Eagles was the straw to break the camel's back.

  I don't like The Eagles. If other "Achievers" do, I'm cool with that. Technically speaking, I'm sure they're good musicians and all. However, for me, I've just heard "Takin' it easy" and "Hotel California" one too many times on classic rock radio, and my Dad had the "Very Best of. . ." tape, which he played out. I do recall liking some of Glenn Frey's (sp?) solo stuff, especially "You Belong to the City" and "Smuggler's Blues" though. Then again, I'm a bit of a Miami Vice fan. ^_^
