Chalupa, Here's the thing I still don't get. Since the baby boomers came on the scene, our national nostalgia runs in 20 year cycles. In the 70s, we had Happy Days. In the 80s, a return to the 60s. It's like as soon as one generation has kids, they want to reminisce about their glory days. At my age, I get that. But I never understood why TBL was set in the early 90s. Did it take a while to get the film made? Had the script been sitting around for just a few years? Or did they really just want to use that guy that looks like Saddam? When you think about it, the Gulf War backdrop is not all that necessary to the plot... Your thoughts... The Preacher
