I am not sure if you guys are still interested in the question you posed in one of your earlier podcasts, but as far as songs tha would be perfect for the Big Lebowski soundtrack, I can think of none better than the Kinks' "Sunny Afternoon." The song is sort of a nightmare outcome of dudeism, where the dude in question sits by passively as outside forces disrupt the quiet and pleasant life he has built for himself, much like the movie. It's also one of my favorite songs of all time. I enjoy what you guys are doing and hope to hear more in the future. Here are the lyrics, just so you can see the similarities.
